Introduction
We love the stick, but we don't love it everywhere.
If you’ve finished training and your hands are stuck to your steering wheel, or you’ve found a sticky patch on your favorite leggings, don't worry. Since Sticky-Toffy is based on natural pine rosin, we can use simple chemistry to get it off without ruining your gear.
For Your Hands (The Oil Method)
Water won't work well on its own because rosin repels water. You need oil or alcohol.
- The Gentle Way: Coconut oil or baby oil. Rub it in, and the rosin dissolves like magic. Then wash with soap.
- The Fast Way: Hand sanitizer (alcohol-based). It cuts right through the tackiness.
For Your Equipment (Silks & Hoops)
Vodka: Yes, really. Cheap vodka in a spray bottle is an aerialist's best friend. It dissolves the rosin and kills bacteria without damaging the fabric. Just spritz and wipe.
For Your Leggings
Don't throw them in a hot wash! The heat will melt the rosin deeper into the fabric.
Do use a stain remover or a little rubbing alcohol on the spot before washing them on a cool cycle.
Safety first, cleanliness second!
